We love any stones that have inclusions or properties that make it distinctly it's own. Rutilated Quartz is a perfect example! A form of quartz crystal, they contain thin strands of inclusions known as rutile or “needles”.
Rutile is a titanium dioxide mineral, and sometimes contains large quantities of iron oxide. When the iron oxide content is high, the Rutilated Quartz may have needles of gold and red in it. While the golden rutile is widely known, rutile can also be more copper, red-brown, black or silver in color.
This gemstone scores a 6 on the Mohs hardness scale.
Rutilated Quartz is referred to as the “illuminator,” as it’s known to connect all 114 chakras in the human body to the divine, from your root to your crown.
