The flashy birthstone of October is a highly popular stone, and the majority of the stones we use are mined in Australia. Opals are very soft stones comprised of up to 30% water and need to be treated with a gentle hand.
Tourmaline is one of our most used stones because of its wide variety of shades and unique color combinations. This stone is featured in our most beloved pieces, from pale peachy yellow to deep teal and pink.
Moonstones were believed by Ancient Romans to be made up of solidified rays of the moon. Its iridescent coloring lends itself to being a highly sought-after stone and one of our favorites at Emily Amey Jewelry. Most of our Moonstones are found in India.
Morganite
We love the idea of this pale pink stone as an alternative to diamonds in engagement rings because it is associated with the Heart Chakra and is known to represent everlasting love.
Dendritic Agate
Dendrites are fern-like inclusions of iron or other metallic oxides and create unique patterns in each stone. The word is derived from a Greek word meaning “tree-like.”

The Birthstone of September, this stone has been highly prized for centuries. It comes in every color except red (which would be classified as a ruby), but it is most sought after in its rich blue hue.
Aquamarine
